I was in islamabad last week then i needed to visit Wah.My eyes were searching a vehicle for a rent outside PIMS when i saw a slim n short guy standing next to a yellow cab, His age was round about 24.
His eyes were focussed at some random point, must be in deep thoughts.I went closer n said
"Dost Wah Cantt chalo gay ????"

Taxi Driver:- Jee sir.

Me:- Kitny paisy lo gy ?

Driver:- 1200 rupy.
I threw my bag at back seat n sit besides him n we started for Wah Cantt.

Me:- Kea naam hai tmhara dost ?

Driver:- "Dilfaraz Khan"

Me:- Dilfaraz Khan...!!!! Waah yaar bara accha naam hy, Kab sy taxi chala rahy ho ?

Driver:- Pichly 8 saal sy.

Me:- Ahan kaisa kaam jaa raha hy ?

Driver:- Bas Bhai mat poocho, pichly 2 din sy na he ghar kuch ly kr gaya houn or na he maalik ko kuch dea hy, bas CNG poore ke hay. sawari nhe hy, sawari hy toh unky paas paisy nahi haen.
Musharraf ka dour theek tha bhai, logon ky paas paisa tha toh hamari 2 waqt ke roti chal jaate the.

Me:- yeh taxi tmhari apni nhe hy ?

Driver:- Nahi Bhai, malik kee hy.

Me:- Koe parhae waghera nahe kee ?

Driver:- Nahi Bhai, esi baat ka toh rona hy. etny paisy nhe thy k parhae krta or hakoomat ny kabhi sar par haath nhe rakha parhae ky mamly main, es liye bas.....

Me:- 5 saal pehly kis ko vote dea tha ? 

Driver:- kuch dair sochny ky baad...Bhai woh kea naam hy uska "Hanif Nawabi"

n then i understood that he does'nt even know the name of the person he voted for.

Me:- woh "Hanif Nawabi" nhe "Hanif Abbasi" hoga.

Driver:- Haan haan bhai wohee.

Me:- Woh peoples party ka hy na ?

Driver:- Jee bhai zardari ky sath hy...n here we go again, he does'nt know the platform of his leader too.

Me:- ghar ma kitny log haen ?

Driver:- mujh samait 9 log haen bhai.

Me:- sab ny usay he vote dea tha ?

Driver:- Jee bhai

Me:- Sab ghar waaly aik he trah sochty haen ?

Driver:- Bhai ham koe parhy likhy toh haen nahe k hamari koe apni soch hogi, election sy pehly hamary elaaqy ka bara aata hy woh ham sab ko btata hy k kis ko vote dena hy, badly main woh hamain us din khana or kuch paisy deta hy...

n i was near about to hit my head at dashboard.

Me:- Apny elaaqy ky us bary ko azma lea tum ny ??? Awam ya mulk main koe behtree mehsoos kee?

Driver:- Haalat aap ky samny haen bhai, 2 din sy ghar kuch nhe ly gaya, sehri or eftari ky liye bhe kuch nhe hota, mehngae aap ky samny hai. kise ny vote leny ky baad wapis aa kar nhe poocha.Musharraf dour boht accha tha bhai, ghar accha chal jaata tha.

Me:- Tmhara leader hanif abbasi, nawaz sharif ke party ka hy or nawaz sharif or zardari ny mil kar hakoomat bnae hy or pichly 5 saal sy mulk chala rahy haen...Chala keya rahy haen, noch noch kar kha rahy haen.

Driver:- Maar deya bhai en dono manhoson ny ghareeb ko.

Me:- Agr tum chahty hou k sawari ky paas phir sy paesa aaye, tumhaen accha rozgaar mily, ghar asani sy chaly, tumhari anay waale nasal acchi taleem haasil kary...toh es baar Imran Khan ko vote dena hy.

Driver:- Imran Khan woh haspataal waala ???

Me:- Haan wahee, jitne mehnat sy usny haspataal bna kr dea hy awam ko, mujhy yaqeen hy utni hee mehnat or emandaari sy mulk bhe chalay ga, en dono ko tumny aazma lea...doobara agar enhaen vote dea toh abhe sirf tum nhe parh saky phir tumhari anay waali nasal bhe jaahil rahy gee.
ab Imran Khan ko vote dena hy or main tum sy waada krta houn Musharraf dour sy bhe behter kamae hoge tmhari.

Driver:- Bhai mera or mery ghar ka vote Imran Khan ka ho gaya.

Me:- Sirf tmhara ghar nhe, apny poory elaaqy ko samjhao, yeh poora mulk tmhara hy, jou bhe taxi ma aa kr baithy usy bhe samjhao...mulk khushaal hoga toh hr bnda khushaal hoga.
Imran Khan ka jo bhe aadmi tmhary elaqy sy khara ho raha hy, bas usee ko vote dena hy.Tum vote usy do gy par woh jaey ga Imran Khan ko.

Driver:- Mera waada ho gaya bhai aap sy, Imran Khan ky vote ka or ma poori koshish karon ga. 

In the meanwhile, we reached our destination, i took my backpack, paid him the rent n gave him some above...Aaj apny or ghar waloon ky liye sehr or eftaar zaroor ly kar jaana...Fe Aman Allah.

Driver:- Mehrbani bhai.

He turned back his cab n i entered the house, fell into bed but i knew for sure now, why this sick government kept just 4 billion for the education while more than 7 billion for the president house, 80 billion for Bay Nazir Income Support Programme.

PMLN is also silent at this issue, why they should'nt be ???

This is how they collect their votes by keeping the nation illiterate, Spent 22billion for laptops to cover up their personal interests while children are studying in the graveyards.
They should build new schools, appoint new teachers, deliever free books in all government schools so everyone can continue his/her studies.
These both sick parties never wanted to increase the literacy rate because they never wanted to let the common man know the importance of his vote.This is where their unimagineable rotten politics stands.

ھم لاکھ بدقسمت سہی لیکن کیا یہ خوش نصیبی کم ھے کہ اللہ نے الطاف بھائی اور شبیر بھائی کو پاکستان میں نازل کیا .


پاکستان میں کہیں کسی جگہ ، چاھے کسی کونے کھدرے میں ، کوئی بڑا یا چھوٹا واقعہ ھو جاۓ، کوئی دیکھے نہ دیکھے شبیر تو دیکھتا ھے ، اور کوئی بولے نہ بولے ، الطاف بھائی تو بولتے ہیں .
چودھری نزاکت کی بکری گم ھو جاۓ یا ملک شرافت کی بھینس کا چھوٹا کٹا درد شقیقہ میں گرفتار. چودھری نزاکت کو پہلی تسلی اور ملک شرافت کو پہلا دلاسا الطاف بھائی کی طرف سے ملے گا . شومئی قسمت سے وہ پاکستان میں موجود نہیں ھیں وگرنہ ان کا بس چلے تو وہ آپ بکری کی تلاش میں قیس کی مانند بیابانوں میں نکل پڑیں یا پھر اس کٹے کی صحت یابی کے لئے بذات خود حکیم چقندر تلہ گنگ والے سے کوئی دیسی پھکی خرید کر اس کٹے کی والدہ کے حضور پیش کریں کہ درد مندی تو کوئی ان سے سیکھے .


الطاف بھائی انسان ھیں کہ جن ؟ اب تلک سمجھ نہیں سکا کہ یہ سوتے کس وقت ھیں . کوئی واقعہ رات کے تین بجے پیش آے یا صبح کے نو بجے ، سب سے پہلا رد عمل انہی کی جانب سے آے گا ..خبر ایک شکار کی مانند اور الطاف بھائی اس پر جھپٹنے کو بیتاب . تخیل کی آنکھ سے دیکھوں تو یوں لگتا ھے جیسے الطاف بھائی ہمہ وقت مونگ پھلیوں کی پلیٹ سامنے رکھے ، ریموٹ ہاتھ میں پکڑے چینل پر چینل گھماتے چلے جا رھے ھیں ، جونہی کوئی بریکنگ نیوز نظر آئی، فون اٹھایا اور دھڑا دھڑ نمبر گھمانے شروع کر دئیے. . موقع کی مناسبت سے اظھار افسوس ، اظھار تاسف، اظھار طمانیت ، اظھار مسرت کی تھوک کے حساب سے سپلائی شروع . ..ایک دفعہ تو یوں بھی ھوا کہ ایک چینل نے گھبراہٹ کے عالم میں اصل خبر سے بھی پہلے الطاف بھائی کا اظھار ندامت کا ٹکر چلا دیا ...خیر اس طرح تو ہوتا ھے اس طرح کے کاموں میں ..حسرت ھی رہ گئی کوئی ایسی خبر پڑھنے یا دیکھنے کی جسے الطاف بھائی کی پچکاری کا تڑکا نہ لگا ھو ...

نظر تو ہر خبر پر شبیر بھائی بھی رکھتے ھیں اور قوت بصیرت کی یہ قدر ان دونوں میں مشترک سہی لیکن کرگس اور شاھین کی طرح ان کی دنیائیں بہرحال مختلف ھیں

My thoughts on the ‘paani wali gari’ and peoples reactions.

There has been much talk over the apparent new scientific invention of a car that can be solely run on water. If this was true it would surely be one of the greatest inventions in world history. I had my doubts and after watching the ‘paani wali ghari’ be revealed on a talk show I quickly realised this ‘invention’ by Agha Waqar wasn’t real. This was not new ground breaking technology that would revolutionise the world as it was being projected, it was simply electrolysis with a car battery.
Anyone with a little scientific knowledge knows what electrolysis is, I was taught back in G.C.S.E. chemistry. Electrolysis is an old discovery which is an inefficient process that splits water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. The idea for this water car was to use hydrogen as the fuel to power it. The main fault with this is that the electrical energy put into obtaining the hydrogen is greater than the energy obtained by combusting the hydrogen itself to power the car. So the input energy is greater than the output, the greatest ever efficiency reached in electrolysis is 80% which is still low. This so called invention will just deplete the car battery very quickly, nothing new or ground breaking.
The reactions of various people on social media have been somewhat surprising. After criticising this apparent invention on social media I was faced with a backlash, people were telling me that we should give the guy a chance and to stop being a pessimist. I realised that people in Pakistan are emotional who have been deprived of hearing much good news and have a feeling of hopelessness. This gives space to conspiracy theories and false hopes so that anything positive people will latch onto it without thinking about it. Which patriotic Pakistani wouldn’t want their country to take credit for a revolutionary invention? This was only going to be another disappointment for those that had high hopes. Some people had already begun projecting Agha Waqar as a national hero and respected scientist and were rejecting criticism out of patriotism. Other people defending this apparent invention simply did not have enough knowledge on the subject and did not understand the magnitude of what it would mean if true. To all those criticising me, I am an idealist/optimist but on this topic I was just being honest with myself and my country rather than live on false hope and blind patriotism.
However ever since this ‘AghaGate’ story broke, the spasmodic reflex reaction of our twitter pseudo-intellectuals has been disgusting. Full time cynics including journalists, bloggers and football fans with a large twitter following began slandering Pakistani scientists and how rubbish the country is. Ironically these scientists (despite being wrong this time) have achieved a lot more in life than these twitter intellectuals have or ever will. These cynical ‘experts’ are the insecure ‘told you so’ types that always give themselves a sense of being correct. Cynics can never achieve anything great in life as their ambitions are severely limited and can never offer anything productive to Pakistan.
Inventing ground breaking technology is a long process which requires struggle, years of research and resources. Even once such revolutionary technology is invented there is a long difficult process of mass producing it efficiently. Ground breaking inventions will not be made overnight by scientists that are not that special as they claim to be, so I request my emotional people to not fall for fabricated optimisms. Neither will any inventions be made by our low aspiring cynical pseudo-intellectuals. Let us not overestimate our current abilities but lets not narrow our ambitions either.
